The Read-a-Thon is both a celebration of reading and an important fundraiser for PUNS, spanning the course of two weeks. Students will participate in literacy activities during class time as well as spending additional reading time at home with their families.

Your child can participate two ways:

• PUNS Read-a-Thon Challenge: complete as many reading adventures as you can from the game board found here.

• Daily Reading Log: keep track of how many books your child reads here. Top readers in each class will receive a prize!

Our goal is to raise $3,000 through this year’s Read-a-Thon. Here is how you can help us reach this goal:

• Visit with loved ones and friends or try video calls to share in the wonderful experience of reading together.

• Ask family, friends, colleagues, or anyone you would like for donations to support and encourage your child’s reading adventure. Click here for a sample donation request letter.

Donations can be made online, by sending in cash/checks in a clearly labeled ‘Read-a-Thon’ envelope with your child’s name, or via mail. Please make all checks payable to Pittsford United Nursery School.

100% of all funds raised go directly to PUNS to help purchase new educational toys for classrooms and books to the PUNS Lending Library as well as providing important teacher training and professional development opportunities.
