We are a cooperative preschool for children ages 2-5. You, the parent, are given the opportunity to be actively involved in your child's preschool experience. Parents assist in the classrooms and work in partnership with the teachers who plan the program and ensure its appropriateness. On the days that parents assist, you will gain first-hand knowledge about your child's abilities, willingness to follow instructions, peer compatibility, and more.

PUNS Classrooms Offer Variety: Our three classrooms are divided into 'special interest centers', each with a learning focus. Centers include: arts & crafts, music, dramatic play, manipulative toys, sensory table, writing, science, puzzles, board games, and books. Outside, or large, fenced-in playground is equipped with a "Child Life" play structure, swings, ride-ons, and sand tables. We also have access to the large social hall to ensure physical activity during times of inclement weather. The wide variety of activities and toys contribute to PUNS's well-rounded program of intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.

A Day at PUNS Includes Many Things... At PUNS, we offer quality structured and unstructured time. The structure allows the children to understand the predictable situations of their daily and weekly schedules. During unstructured time, the children are free to explore their interests, thereby promoting meaningful, child-centered play and learning.
