We believe that play is the most important work of childhood.
At PUNS, we share Piaget's believe that children learn by doing and that play is the work of childhood. In our program, children learn through play and by engaging with a variety of learning centers and activities which change throughout the school year.
Our educational curriculum and philosophy are based on developmentally appropriate practices that nurture the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of each individual child.
We love to see our students happily involved in play! Our goal is to encourage every child who attends PUNS to enjoy their preschool experience, develop positive feelings about themselves, and to engage in creative play that encourages new friendships.
Announcing the PUNS GARDEN!
It is with GREAT excitement that we announce the opening of our newest learning space, the PUNS Garden! Built in honor of Kathy Frame, who served PUNS as classroom teacher and Education Director from 2002-2015, this beautiful garden embodies her tremendous legacy for engaging children in hands on, child centered, exploratory play. We are so thrilled to offer this dynamic new learning environment to our students. The Garden was dedicated to Kathy Frame on September 9, 2016, and our little ones have been planting, observing, and exploring ever since!
